Plants of Mine

The dingbats were a practical result of a study about type ornaments. Despite the bibliography about this very specific subject not being satisfactory, the area of ornaments, illustrations and patterns is extremely wide.

The drawings were done from pictures of twelve succulent plants, which lied in my windows for a few months. This project is not about the drawings, but rather about how the font is composed, the symmetry and assymetry in the glyphs, and the position of each illustration within a grid, what makes possible irregular 'texts' and patterns.
